BF-100 Brake Fluid Conductivity Meter

•BF-100 Brake Fluid Conductivity Meter is used to check the quality of the brake fluid in a vehicle by checking the conductivity value of the brake fluid in a vehicle.

•Car’s brake systems will absorb moisture into the brake fluid through the rubber seals and joints. The effect of this is that the boiling point of the brake fluid will reduce, which can lead to brake failure at inopportune moments.

•The more moisture in brake fluid, the lower the boiling point and the higher the conductivity reading. The better the brake fluid, the lower the conductivity reading.

•LED's on the tool tell the technician whether the brake fluid is good, deteriorating, or needs changing.

•This tool tests DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 brake fluids; DOT 5.0 is silicone-based brake fluid, does not absorb water, and cannot be tested by this tool.
