The chlorophyll content of a plant leaf indicates the status of the plant itself, and wellgrown plant leaf contains more chlorophyll. Chlorophyll content is closely related to the nitrogen content of the leaf. Therefore the chlorophyll measurement can also reveal the true nitro-radical demand of the plant. Using this type of instrument will facilitate the rational applying nitrogen fertilizer, thus enhancing the nitrogen utilization rate.
